We have finally unveiled our debut range of Irish single malt whiskey which we have been quietly aging away in our own barrels for the last number of years – The Whistler. This is a seriously good whiskey! The Whistler Oloroso Sherry Cask Blend is the first of three cask finished blends from the Boann Distillery's 'Whistler Irish Whiskey Range'. This expression has matured in both bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, helping to develop a rounded flavour profile. ‘How The Years Whistle By’ – Single Malt, 10 Year old Irish Whiskey – 46% Alc/Vol. The Whistler Irish Whiskey updated their profile picture. It is comprised of malt and grain whiskeys which have been matured separately in ex-bourbon casks and then come together to be finished in the Oloroso sherry hogsheads over a 9 month period. The salty/savoury/fruity character that has been brought on by a finishing period in oloroso wood give this an extra dimension of complexity. The Whistler collection consists of a family of three exceptional whiskeys: ‘The Blue Note’ – Single Malt, 7 Year old Irish Whiskey – 46% Alc/Vol. The Whistler collection has three releases so far. Lastly, we have the Whistler Trilogy, which comes in the form of three bottlings that “showcases some of the finest whiskey, smoothest honey and freshest cream that Ireland has to offer.” It was put together by Boann’s Master Distiller (Michael Walsh, Ireland’s youngest Master Distiller), Family Beekeeper, and Master Blender.
